How to watch your day slip away

SporcleWhat a site! Just went to Sporcle, which is like a blog, in that there are fresh entries every day. But it's the content that makes Sporcle great. Every day there are quizzes that test your knowledge on some pretty accessible facts. To produce as many as this, someone has clearly created a template, to set them up really quickly.

You get categories like: Beatles songs with the word "Love" in the title; States of the USA; 15 Biggest Wine producing countries of the world; Simpsons Characters (left).

Such a simple concept, but so time consuming. There you are, having named 32 US states, you know you know the others, and that you are going to kick yourself when you find out the answers, you only have two minutes left on the clock (which is counting down), and you painfully retrieve some of the remainder one at a time, till the end.

Once you've finished the quiz, it tells you how you've done next to others who have attempted the quiz, and also which of the answers people found toughest to get. This allows you to congratulate yourself for getting the one no-one else remembered, and to punish yourself for the embarrassingly easy one that everyone else got.

Frustatingly gratifying.
